Throughout the pandemic, frontline healthcare workers have encountered and grappled with unprecedented levels of stress. Sara describes her experience from her perspective as a Clinical Nurse Education Specialist- constantly caught in between leadership and her colleagues on the front lines. She details the difficulties associated with navigating the ever-changing flow of information about the pandemic while simultaneously working with leadership to prevent supply shortages. This resulted in the fracture of trust between Sara and her colleagues, adding another emotional weight to her shoulders.
Sara’s story is a true example of how life doesn’t stop during a global crisis. She details the difficulties associated with finding mental health care for children, her lifelong struggles with an eating disorder and depression, and her journey to find the therapist who ultimately assisted her through her true recovery.
